EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING 

Marilyn Possett, L.S.C.S.W. is an experienced adult therapy specialist who practiced at the nationally known Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma for more than fifteen years.  

Marilyn has had extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as well as the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of anxiety disorders, depression, acute stress disorders as well as a wide range of other mental health care issues. Additionally, she has had long-term and comprehensive experience in helping people with their interpersonal relationships.  

Marilyn is licensed to practice in both Kansas and Oklahoma for individual, group and marital therapy. She has given presentations and written articles on interpersonal skills, anxiety, depression and stress management.  She has co-authored a training manual on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Marilyn has also written a book on powerful relationships (Powerful People have Powerful Relationships) as well as a legacy journal for mothers and grandmothers (Just for Moms! [and Grandma, too]). Her practice is limited to adults 19 years old and older. 

EDUCATION   

Marilyn received an Associate’s Degree from Grand Rapids Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Oklahoma.  

PERSONAL

Marilyn has been married for over 40 years, has five adult children, three grandchildren and two Golden Retrievers who have often accompanied her to work.
